WORKSHOP ON BANK INSPECTION & INTERNAL CONTROL

INTRODUCTION
The challenges posed by the rapid expansion of branch networks, the introduction of e-banking products and the extension of bank franchises across national boundaries has made it imperative for Bank Inspectors and Internal Auditors to upgrade their skills.


FOCUS OF THE WORKSHOP
Participants will learn how to: Evaluate statutory audit provisions with respect to Internal Control assignments; Design and utilise various techniques of conducting bank inspection and Write effective Audit report in line with standard requirement

  • Risk Analysis in Banking Building a Control Environment: Planning and Control of the Audit Function. Audit Evidence
  •  Examination of Questioned Documents and Signatures in Banking Operations. Auditing Through the Computer
  • Proactively measure operational risks in the banks and take steps to minimize operational failures. Appreciate computer-based audit procedures.
  • Audit through the Computer Electronic Banking: Challenges for the Audit Function.
  • Examination of Nigerian Banks; Effective Audit Reporting, Follow-Up and Post Audit. Professional Ethics; and the Bank Inspector. Experience Sharing.
